I am a Percheron/Quarter Horse cross, and they tell me that I am a perfect lady! Unfortunately, I am one of our most complicated health cases though because I suffer from lameness associated with laminitis, Cushings disease, and EPM. While I am no longer a riding horse, everyone here makes me feel like I am still really loved and important!
Aren’t I pretty? Everyone tells me that I am a beauty, and I don’t disagree. I am a 14-year-old Kentucky Mountain Horse, which means that I am gaited. Apparently, I am pretty unusual because I am a Buckskin paint, which is a really unique combination. They tell me that I am a great all-around horse and used for all our programming!
We offer a variety of programs aimed at addressing the needs of our community, including education, healthcare, and social services. Learn more about our programs and how you can benefit from them.
Often referred to as “Prince Harry”, this sweet Tennessee Walker gelding is always a favorite. Saved from a Texas kill pen in August 2019, Harry was one of our most abused horses. Severely malnourished with more crop marks than we could count from where he was hit, Harry is truly lives up to his name under saddle and is a prince for his riders.
To the one who started it all…sweet LadyBelle was saved in the Summer of 2017 from a kill pen in Tennessee. We all fell in love with her and decided that we could do more. When we think about how many horses have been saved because of LadyBelle, we can’t help but be grateful for her!
A retired Off the Track Thoroughbred, Barron is a racehorse whose career ended before it really even began. Sadly, there are many OTTBs in the slaughter pipeline. We were glad we could help him. Barron is just a “pasture pet” and not ridden anymore. people!
Well, hello there Cowboys and Cowgirls, meet Tex. Saved from a kill pen in Tex, this Palomino Quarter Horse gelding is solid and stout. He will do whatever is asked of him, walk, trot or lope. He loves to get brushed and his “Fabio” mane in a guest favorite!
She wowed us all the moment we saw her. Her marble grey coloring was so unique…but she was an unhandled 3 year old when we bought her and that was something we had never done. Luckily, she’s been with us for 3 years now and she has learned to love and trust us. We are working on getting her under saddle. Cool fact - we do not even try to ride our horses until they are 5 years old so that their legs and backs have a chance to fully develop.
A retired Off the Track Thoroughbred, Barron is a racehorse whose career ended before it really even began. Sadly, there are many OTTBs in the slaughter pipeline. We were glad we could help him. Barron is just a “pasture pet” and not ridden anymore. As you can tell, Barron is a character and LOVES treats!
The only horse that was born on the farm…Liberty was a July 4th baby. We had saved her mom from a kill pen in Tennessee and two weeks later we walked out to find two horse in the stall. Liberty has never known a harsh hand and thinks she is a person!
As big and as strong as his name. Patriot was saved from a kill pen in Texas and when he arrived he was extremely sick with double pneumonia. We were not sure if he would make it, but after a month in the equine hospital he returned to the farm and got stronger. At 17.1 hands, Patriot is a favorite among our taller riders.
Chief was saved from a Kill Buyer in Texas in the fall of 2023. He had such a kind eye, we could not let him ship to Mexico. He is in his early 20s and is available for light riding. He is a Tennessee Walker gelding and loves life on the farm.
There are not enough words to describe the love this horse gives to everyone he meets. He is a puppy dog in the pasture and is loved by every human being he meets. Treats or not treats, Winston is the same love bug every single day and was the favorite horse of our founder and matriarch, Camille Ryan.
Bought at Christmas in 2017, we fell in love with her splashy paint color and kind eye. Saved from a kill pen in Tennessee, Noelle is probably our most trained horse. When we bought her they said that if you rode her hard, she would come up sore. Upon arrival, we got xrays only to discover that she had fractured her leg and one point. She is no longer ridden but is the sweetest horse who can pasture with anyone.
This horse had loaded the truck and we had her pulled off at the very last minute. What a blessing she has been to us! This horse does all she can to please her rider. She was sold to us as “early 20s” but the vet says she is mid-to-late 20s. Unfortunately, her arthritis has gotten to the point that she cannot be ridden. We are making her as comfortable as possible.
People tell me that I am a farm favorite. I just say that I am a typical Quarter Horse, I have a strong heart and a strong back. They tell me that I am a solid citizen and I try to do whatever is asked of me, for any level rider. I am a Buckskin color and love treats!
Everyone tells me that I am a real character, but it’s only because I like to have ALL the attention. I am a Missouri Fox Trotter gelding, and baby I love to be loved! I was actually given to HHH by a local family who had saved me from a kill pen a few years ago. Sadly, they were taking care of elderly parents out of state and had to rehome me. I am so glad that I could come here and have a safe home.
